The genetic risk profile provided on the Sciencelock website is not intended as a diagnostic tool and should not be used as such. The term “high risk” associated with certain conditions does not guarantee that the individual will develop those conditions, either presently or in the future. The outcome of these conditions is heavily influenced by environmental factors and lifestyle choices.
Sciencelock collects the following types of information:
Visitor Information: When you visit our website, we collect demographic data, IP addresses, and information about your browsing behavior on our site.
Newsletter Subscribers: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name and email address.
Registered Customers: For registered customers, we collect personal details such as name, email address, mobile number, billing address, and shipping address. This information is securely stored in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Genetic Test Customers: Customers who purchase genetic tests or counseling services provide their health history through an offline or online questionnaire. Once the genetic test is conducted, the data is analyzed, and reports are generated. All information is stored securely in our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), called Biotracker.
We do not share your personal information with third-party mailing lists. However, we may use this information to assist you in using our products, evaluate the usefulness of product features, gather feedback on your satisfaction, and provide information about other products offered by Sciencelock.
HEALTH & GENETIC INFORMATION
Report Generation: Your health and genetic information are treated as confidential, and we ensure that all data is securely stored in Biotracker. The primary purpose of genetic information is to assess your genetic predisposition and provide you with relevant reports (please note that your health history is not used in these reports). Following genetic counseling, we develop an action plan to help you achieve your health goals, which may involve utilizing your health history and genetic information.
De-Identification of Data: Before your blood, saliva, or any other sample enters our laboratory, it is assigned a unique ID and de-identified to prevent access to personal information. Only authorized personnel from our team have access to this information. Throughout the processing, your sample is tracked using Biotracker.
Research Use: Recognizing the importance of genetic and health information in research, we may use this data, without personal identification, for further analysis with the consent of our customers. During sample collection, we provide a consent form to all customers.
Disclosure: We do not share any information with unaffiliated parties unless it is necessary to provide you or your organization with the requested products or services or when required by law. If your sample has been obtained through a channel partner or healthcare provider, they may have access to your reports and related information. Sciencelock cannot be held responsible for any privacy violations in such cases. In the future, if Sciencelock sells business units, product lines, or other assets, customer information may be transferred as part of the transaction. Similarly, if Sciencelock or a significant portion of its assets are sold, customer information will be included as a transferred asset. In such situations, Sciencelock may disclose customer information to prospective purchasers and their representatives for due diligence purposes.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
If you wish to cancel your order and request a refund, please email us at email@example.com with your order details within 24 hours of placing the order.
Preventive Genomics Products: For preventive genomics products, a refund will be provided with a deduction of Rs 1000 per product if the refund request is made before we receive your sample in our lab. The refund will be processed after we receive the kit. Once you receive notification that we have received your sample, the order becomes non-refundable.
Clinical Genomics Products: For clinical genomics products, a deduction of Rs 1000 per product applies for any cancellation request made by the customer within 2 hours of sample collection. For cancellation requests made within 24 hours of sample collection, a deduction of Rs 1500 per product applies. After 24 hours of receiving the sample, the order becomes non-refundable.
SAMPLE QUALITY AND RESAMPLING FOR CLINICAL SAMPLES
For clinical samples received with inadequate sample quality to perform our tests, we offer resampling at an additional cost of Rs 500. If the customer chooses to cancel the order instead, the following refund policy applies:
- 100% refund for samples that fail the visual check.
- Rs 1500 will be deducted for samples that fail our sample quality check.
- A 50% refund is provided when the lab process fails due to valid reasons.
GENETIC RAW DATA
Sciencelock does not share genetic raw data for our preventive genomics offerings.
SHIPPING FOR CUSTOMERS IN INDIA: Upon ordering a test, we will deliver the kit to the address registered with us. Buccal swab collection can be performed from the privacy of your home. After collecting your sample, please inform us via email or phone call, and our courier partner will pick it up from your doorstep, with exceptions for remote locations.
FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: A shipping charge of $50 will be levied for delivering the kit to the address registered with us. Once you have collected your sample, kindly ship the kit to our laboratory. Please note that we do not arrange for the pick-up of kits outside India.
When purchasing physical products from Sciencelock, the following conditions apply:
ORDER PROCESSING AND SHIPPING
Order Confirmation: After placing an order for physical products, you will receive an order confirmation via email, indicating the details of your purchase.
Order Processing Time: We strive to process and ship orders promptly. Please allow up to7 business days for order processing before shipment.
Shipping Methods: We offer standard shipping methods, and the estimated delivery time will depend on your location and the shipping carrier.
Shipping Charges: Shipping charges will be displayed during the checkout process and may vary based on the weight, size, and destination of the package.
Delivery Address: Please ensure that you provide accurate and complete shipping information, including the correct delivery address. Sciencelock will not be responsible for any delays or delivery issues arising from incorrect or incomplete address information.
International Shipping: For international customers, please note that additional customs duties, taxes, or import fees may be applicable upon delivery. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the product or shipping prices.
Shipment Tracking: Once your order is shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing a tracking number or a link to track your package’s progress.
Delivery Issues: While we strive to ensure timely delivery, Sciencelock is not liable for any delays, losses, or damages incurred during the shipping process. In case of any delivery issues or concerns, please contact the shipping carrier directly.
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
Return Eligibility: Physical products may be eligible for return or exchange under certain conditions. Eligibility will be determined on a case-by-case basis and in accordance with applicable laws.
Return Authorization: Prior to returning a product, you must contact Sciencelock’s customer support within 2 days of receiving the item to request a return authorization. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted or processed.
Return Conditions: To qualify for a return or exchange, the product must be unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging, including all accompanying accessories, manuals, and promotional materials.
Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the return is due to a product defect or an error made by Sciencelock. We recommend using a trackable shipping method for return shipments.
Refund or Exchange: Upon receipt and inspection of the returned product, Sciencelock will process the refund or exchange according to the applicable policy. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment, and exchanges will be subject to product availability.
Non-Returnable Items: For hygiene and safety reasons, certain items, such as opened or used consumables or personalized products, may not be eligible for return or exchange unless defective.
